TAP gives drummers the freedom and flexibility to be creative while maintaining control of the resources they need for a great show.
Nederland, CO (PRWEB) January 16, 2014
AirTurn, a leading manufacturer of wireless controllers for iPads, Mac & PC computers, and Android tablets, announced TAP, its digital page turner for drummers and other active percussion players. Mounted on a hi-hat or microphone stand, TAP can advance digital sheet music pages and trigger events such as backing tracks, metronomes, or several other functions within a wide range of compatible apps. With just a light tap from a finger or drum stick, musicians have complete control of their performance without missing a beat.
Based on AirTurn’s BT-105 two-pedal series transceiver, the TAP provides a piezo interface that responds to a tap and initiates changes on the musician’s digital tablet or computer via a Bluetooth connection. With the TAP, a drummer can trigger a metronome for rehearsal, set off accompanying audio tracks that have been programmed into a tablet or smartphone, open a playlist, and much more. TAP includes all mounting hardware for any post up to 1.5 inches in diameter.
“TAP is so easy to use that drummers and percussionists will have zero interruption in their performances,” said Hugh Sung, co-founder of AirTurn, Inc. “AirTurn assures a natural movement to trigger page turns or any other programmed musical event for any musician whether it’s by foot pedal or a gentle tap of a drumstick. TAP gives drummers the freedom and flexibility to be creative while maintaining control of the resources they need for a great show.”
