Having recently completed a Sustainability Circle Program, Mellano and Company is pleased to report that they have already achieved positive business outcomes and are now better positioned to reap longer-term benefits from their sustainability initiatives. The True Market Solutions Sustainability Circle Program helps small to mid-size businesses (SMEs) build competitive advantage, profitability, and brand leadership through a 6-month peer-learning program that uses the latest thinking, technologies, and tools to embed sustainability practices into their organization. The outcome of the program is a customized Sustainability Action Plan created by participants themselves and geared toward their specific business objectives such as energy efficiency, productivity, or cultural change.

Mellano and Company initially joined a Sustainability Circle with the goal of reducing energy usage and energy rates. The program provided essential insights on providing sustainability financial value for the company’s owners, employees, community, customers, industry and other stakeholders. As a result Mellano and Company has created a plan that includes workforce engagement in sustainability, more efficient cooling and irrigation systems and renewable energy.
