Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) January 15, 2014 -- Today, Copeland International Arts and TV4 Entertainment announced a partnership for a mult-network agreement, beginning with the creation of the Dance Arts Network, a broadband television network dedicated to dance in the performing arts around the world. Dance Arts Network joins a growing portfolio of online video networks operated by TV4 Entertainment, an emerging leader in the creation and distribution of genre-specific broadband television networks.
Founded by renowned entertainment executive Miles Copeland who managed such superstars as The Police, Sting, Bangles and founded the influential music label IRS Records (REM, Go Gos) selling over 150 million albums during his music career, Copeland International Arts is a leading worldwide entertainment company with an emphasis on dance and world music. “For over a decade, Copeland International Arts has brought a variety of dance arts to every corner of the world,” said founder and CEO Miles Copeland III. “We have seen first hand how dance transcends cultures and boundaries and experienced the unquenchable thirst for great audio-visual content from this community. In TV4 Entertainment we have found the ideal partner to finally feed this passionate community on every screen, anywhere, at any time.”
Dance Arts Network will aggregate and curate the best performing arts dance content from around the world, offering viewers a mix of library and original content, long-form and short form video, from full show dance performances to behind the scenes profiles of the performers gracing stages and exciting audiences around the globe.
Dance Arts Network will be carried on TV4 Entertainment’s growing list of distribution partners including Amazon, Hulu, Roku, Net2TV, and YouTube. “Our networks target deeply passionate audiences, with worldwide potential, that are poorly served by traditional television and the dance and performing arts genres fit squarely into our mandate,” said Jon Cody, founder and CEO of TV4 Entertainment. “There is no better partner than Copeland International Arts to bring high-quality dance performances to this desperately underserved worldwide audience.” Dance Arts Network will launch in the first half of 2014.
