The Network Earns Hermes Creative Gold Award for Employee Code of Ethics Development
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 16, 2014 -- The Network, Inc., a leading provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, has received a 2013 Hermes Creative Gold Award from the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP) for its rewrite and redesign of the Code of Ethics, “The Right Way: How You Get There Matters,” and “Ethical Leadership: A Guide for Supervisors,” for CSX Corporation.
The Hermes Creative Gold Award, which “honors the messengers and creators of traditional and emerging media,” was presented to The Network in the “Publications” category from among 5,600 entries. This marks the second such award received by The Network for the Code of Ethics for CSX.
“We are thrilled to have once again received recognition for our employee Code of Ethics services,” said Julie Moriarty, general manager, training & communications strategy at The Network. “In working with CSX, we created a visually appealing Code that aligned with the company’s values and identity. The end product helped engage employees as active participants in the company’s mission to promote an ethical culture.”
Moriarty continued, “Developing a Code of Ethics should never be taken as a once-and-done exercise for an organization. A company’s Code is one of the most important documents the company will ever produce. It not only outlines the principles by which the organization operates, but also tells your customers, business partners, shareholders and the general public that you expect to achieve strong financial results only if you can operate in a legal and ethical manner.”
According to the company’s governance and corporate social responsibility website, “CSX subscribes to the belief that an ethical company is a successful company. The CSX Code of Ethics details the standards we follow to put our corporate governance commitments into practice.”
The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs and emerging technologies. Administered and judged by the AMCP, entries for the Hermes come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, graphic design shops, production companies, web and digital creators and freelancers.
