Catapult Learning’s Literacy First Named “Reader’s Choice Top 100 Products” by District Administration Magazine
Camden, NJ (PRWEB) January 16, 2014 -- Literacy First, Catapult Learning’s comprehensive three-year literacy framework for schools and school districts, has been recognized for making a positive difference in education as a winner of District Administration magazine's "Readers' Choice Top 100 Products" for 2013.
Announced in the December 2013 issue of the magazine, the winners—selected from a record 1,800-plus nominations submitted by K-12 school and district leaders—represent the 100 programs and products that received the most nominations from K-12 school and district leaders.
Literacy First is a teaching, learning and leading framework for grades PreK-12 that provides significant and sustainable acceleration in student achievement through a combination of leadership development, teacher training, resource materials, and data analysis. With a focus on improving struggling schools, Literacy First’s research-validated model helps eliminate the achievement gap among all subgroups. Typically, more than 75% of students in schools using Literacy First are economically disadvantaged, and frequently, 35% of those students are also English Language Learners.
"We are proud to be acknowledged as part of the Reader’s Choice Top 100 Products for 2013 by the readers and editors of District Administration magazine,” said Stuart Udell, CEO of Catapult Learning. "For Literacy First, one of our flagship programs, to be recognized by the leaders of the educational communities we serve is especially gratifying.”
