Minneapolis Northwest Begins 'Where Are We Wednesday' Social Media Campaign
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) January 16, 2014 -- Minneapolis Northwest Convention & Visitors Bureau started their year-round social media campaign, giving away monthly prizes to followers on their Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest pages.
The year-round campaign entitled “Where Are We Wednesday” began the second Wednesday of January and will continue until the last Wednesday in Nov. 2014. The campaign asks MNW social media followers where a photo was taken in the Twin Cities metro area. Correct answers to the question on the “Where Are We Wednesday” website gives participants a chance to win a monthly prize. The January monthly prize is two ticket vouchers to Yellow Tree Theatre in Osseo, Minn.
“We held a similar campaign last year called ‘Take a Closer Look Tuesday’ and wanted to change the name and day of the campaign to keep our followers interested,” said Danielle Moon, sales and marketing coordinator for Minneapolis Northwest. “We felt this type of social media campaign keeps our followers up to date with what the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area has to offer, especially when posting photos of locations.”
Participants in the campaign can follow Minneapolis Northwest on Facebook or Twitter, or visit their website, http://www.mplsnw.com/wherearewewednesday, to view the photo of the day, posted at 9 a.m. each Wednesday. To be entered for a chance to win the monthly prize, participants must submit the official entry form on the campaign’s website. The answer to the photo will be posted on the MNW Facebook page, MNW Twitter account and the campaign’s website at 9 a.m. the following day. A winner of the monthly prize will be chosen on the last Thursday of each month.
