Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 23, 2014
Los Angeles health and wellness company Reimagine is hosting a karaoke yoga event on January 23rd, 2014 led by world famous inspiration and yoga instructor Jennifer Pastiloff, who has been featured on the TODAY show. This event will take place at IDA Hollywood, located at 6755 Hollywood Blvd., Suite 200 from 6:30-8:30 pm. It will be open to the public with room for thirty people and will be followed by snacks and refreshments.
“Karaoke Yoga is, in a word: JOY,” says Pastiloff. “It is what I always dreamed possible. People being authentic and fearless and being inspired. It is food for your soul. It is yoga without taking yourself too seriously.”
Pastiloff’s creative take on the traditional combines the calming flow of yoga with the energy of belting out your favorite tune. Anyone who has laughed at a hilarious movie, sung in the shower or danced around in their room knows that being silly can be the ultimate release from everyday stressors. Meant to combine the relaxation of yoga with the energy of song, karaoke yoga will allow those in attendance to let go while replenishing the body and mind. Both fitness and music are viewed as core parts of Reimagine’s resiliency-skills course, an online course that teaches members invaluable tools to deal with the social and emotional effects of life stressors.
Reimagine is a new kind of company that leverages technology to revolutionize the way we address the social and emotional challenges associated with any major life struggle, including chronic and life-threatening diseases like cancer. Few would argue that cancer and its treatment can have a devastating and long-term effect on quality-of-life, but while our present healthcare system is excellent at treating the disease, it is ill-equipped at caring for the person. Reimagine is changing that by making “the other half of care” – care for the person – affordable and accessible to anyone with a computer, tablet or telephone. Reimagine is aligned with LiveSTRONG, Susan G. Komen and the Duke Cancer Institute, Genentech, Colorado Health Foundation, WCRF, EIF, SSWR, the Painted Turtle, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, NASW, and AOSW to help anyone and everyone thrive in the face of adversity.
