The Recovery Village Named a Sponsor in Upcoming Golf for H.O.P.E. Tournament
(PRWEB) January 17, 2014 -- The Recovery Village is excited to be a sponsor of the upcoming Golf for H.O.P.E. Tournament. The tournament will take place on January 20th, at the Golden Bear Club at Keene's Point, Windermere, Florida.
The event will raise funds to support H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Eat), a nonprofit organization that supports the prevention and awareness of eating disorders. H.O.P.E. provides education, public speakers, and references to help prevent eating disorders. The organization, which has been in existence for over 12 years, also provides advocacy to those in need of treatment. Over the years, funds from the tournament have created three educational programs that have been delivered to over 12,000 schools, colleges, legislative offices, and community health organizations in the state of Florida.
This year marks the 5th annual Golf for H.O.P.E. Tournament, an event that brings together treatment professionals, advocates, supporters, and individuals and families affected by eating disorders. The Recovery Village is a sponsor of the event and will have 3 teams playing in the tournament.
The event consists of 18 holes of golf, a hole-in-one competition, a putting contest, attendance prizes, performance awards, beverages, lunch, and an awards cocktail reception. Event coordinators are excited about this year's great prizes, such as a 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera and a 2014 Cadillac ATS for the hole-in-one competition, and a fun Helicopter Ball Drop that will award cash prizes to winners. There will be over $7500 in silent auction items, including a spa weekend at the Waldorf worth over $1200, tickets to Sea World and Disney World, and golf foursomes.
