According to an article entitled ‘“Industrial scale” fly-tippers hunted in Liverpool’ posted on the 16th of January, 2014, images were captured from CCTV security systems of the lorry that was allegedly responsible for fly tipping up to 50 tonnes of waste in the Kirkdale industrial estate in Liverpool.

Fly tipping in the area is said to be a growing issue and council workers, local businesses, police and neighbourhood watchmen are said to have joined forces in an attempt to prevent further events from occurring.

The group proactively trying to prevent further fly tipping have promised that legal action will be taken against anyone discovered to be caught in the act. The mess caused by the fly tipping has been described as ‘irresponsible and anti-social’ as well as ‘a health hazard’. Several piles of waste has resulted in the obstruction of business premises and generally deteriorating the appearance of the neighbourhood. Police have revealed images of a lorry suspected to be involved in the fly tipping.
