Farmers Insurance MN Announces Success of New Training Program
Bloomington, MN (PRWEB) January 17, 2014 -- Last week, Farmers Insurance MN ran its recently established innovative, intensive training program for new agents. This program was led by District Manager Cesar Dominguez, and helped welcome in newly recruited agents to the Farmers Insurance MN team. Training has always been a top priority for this district, as all agents have monthly trainings covering a variety of topics. However, after recently receiving the recognition of District Platform, the team has been working hard to further grow and develop their training department.
Farmers Insurance MN has set up this new program to be similar to a boot camp style of training. The training took place Monday through Friday last week, starting right away Monday morning teaching the new agents how to quote auto insurance. As Jerry Dodge of the training department explained, “The agents received a wide array of information during the week including: Auto and Fire products, quoting, and sales presentations. The agents learned basic functions in SIMS for sales and marketing.” At the end of the week of training, the agents participated in role-playing scenarios in which they practiced selling insurance to each other.
In addition to providing detailed explanations about quotes and other processes, Dominguez spent a lot of time sharing his own experiences in order to prepare the new agents for situations they may encounter while working on the team. Guest lecturers were also given by Paul Soderlund and Tara Qualey, concerning life insurance and commercial insurance policies offered by Farmers. Not only did these experienced Farmers agents share their knowledge with the new agents, but they will also continue to act as a support system for the new team members as they transition into the group. As part of the complete training program established by Farmers Insurance MN, new agents also benefit from coaches, such as Soderlund and Qualey, to help educate them on selling various insurance products.
In addition to this week of intensive training, the new agents will continue to meet with Dominguez twice each week to help with their transition and future success at the district. Farmers Insurance MN has also been working to create tutorial videos for the agents to utilize as a resource. Jerry Dodge and the rest of the Farmers Insurance MN team believes that this newly designed week of training was a huge success, and says that he is “looking forward to our agents using the training tools and information to get off to fast start in their careers.” These training initiatives make Farmers Insurance MN and even more attractive company for individuals who want to become a business owner and begin a rewarding career.
