Thane, the multi-channel shopping network, is continuing to bring the power of global TV shopping to the UK High Street, by announcing two new heavyweight retail partnerships with Tesco and Argos, for its No.1 best-selling H2O X5® steam cleaner.
The partnerships will see the H2O X5® available in 150+ Tesco stores (top stores) from the 26th December and in 700 Argos stores from 18th January, offering five innovative steam products in one device – a floor cleaner, fabric steamer, window cleaner, handheld steamer, carpet cleaner.
Both retailers will also benefit from over 100 hours of television support each week through Thane’s own TV channel and overnight airtime across Film 4, More 4 and ITV channels. The H2O X5 will also be available via the web.
Pioneers of the home steam cleaning, Thane launched the H20 X5® back in February 2010 – and to date has sold 8 million units worldwide. Following the success, Thane recently launched a new colour range adding white and red to the collection and has already secured partnerships with Ryman and Robert Dyas.
These two deals mark a concerted move for the DTH retailer into the high street, buoying retail sales with its 30 minute infomercial programme across many of the UK’s leading digital channels.
Mark Thurgood, Managing Director at Thane comments: “As leaders in multi-channel shopping, we have seen huge potential in solution-based home ware products, such as the H2O X5® which became the bestselling product in Robert Dyas during 2012. Thane’s mission is to bring its most successful products like the H2O X5® to big retailers, to drive sales with enterprising partnerships.”
The green Thane H20 X5 is available from the 26th December 2013 from Tesco, and 18th January at Argos.
