Gloria Allred to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
South Beach, FL (PRWEB) January 17, 2014 -- Famed attorney Gloria Allred will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from The National Trial Lawyers at the third annual Trial Lawyers Summit in South Beach, Florida. For the past three decades, Allred has played an integral role in combating injustices and winning new rights especially for women and minorities. Fearless lawyer, feminist, activist, television and radio commentator, warrior, advocate, and winner – Gloria Allred is all of these things and more. Voted by her peers as one of the best lawyers in America, and described by Time Magazine as "one of the nation's most effective advocates of family rights and feminist causes," Allred has devoted her career to fighting for civil rights across boundaries of gender, race, age, sexual orientation, and social class.
The National Trial Lawyers Executive Director Michelle Swanner says, “Gloria Allred’s achievements in her legal career are unmatched, and she has been an inspiration to countless women for her steadfast role in standing up for those who need a champion.” Allred is a member of The National Trial Lawyers’ Executive Committee, and will receive the award on Monday, January 20th at The Trial Lawyer magazine awards luncheon, featuring keynote speaker Jeffrey Toobin, senior legal analyst for CNN. The awards luncheon takes place during the Trial Lawyers Summit, which is The National Trial Lawyers’ annual meeting. The event begins Sunday, January 19th and continues through the 22nd at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. For more information about the event, please visit http://ntlsummit.com.
