Famed attorney Gloria Allred will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from The National Trial Lawyers at the third annual Trial Lawyers Summit in South Beach, Florida. For the past three decades, Allred has played an integral role in combating injustices and winning new rights especially for women and minorities. Swanner points out that the Lifetime Achievement Award is not given annually, and only one other attorney has received it: Peter Neufeld, for his work with the Innocence Project. Neufeld received the award at the 2012 Trial Lawyers Summit.
