Shoei have been manufacturing motorcycle helmets in Japan since 1958 and today they produce some of the best performing and most protective helmets in the world. For Motorbikes now have some of the latest helmets available from Shoei in stock, including the Shoei NXR – Shoei’s brand new sports touring helmet for 2014.

Still made in Japan, to exceptionally high production standards, the full Shoei motorcycle helmets range includes the following models: Shoei NXR, Shoei GT Air – which is also the first Shoei helmet to incorporate an internal sun visor, the flip-front Shoei Neotec, along with various other Shoei helmets.

A large number of leading motorcycle riders entrust their lives to Shoei helmets. Perhaps the most prominent is Marc Marquez, the newly crowned MotoGP Champion. He wears the Shoei X-Spirit 2 which is Shoei’s leading race helmet. Michael Dunlop wore the same helmet during his four Isle of Man TT wins in 2013.

The designs of both of these riders have been included in the new Shoei NXR range of helmets. Marc Marquez’s famous no.93 features prominently on the Shoei NXR Marc Marquez, whilst Michael Dunlop’s name features across the new Shoei NXR Michael Dunlop replica.

The new Shoei NXR helmet has been designed to reflect the move towards naked motorcycles, such as the Yamaha MT-09, KTM 1290 Duke, Ducati Monster and the sector leading Triumph Street Triple. As more and more motorcycle riders opt for naked bikes, Shoei wanted to design a motorcycle helmet which possesses superb aerodynamics, to overcome the obvious lack of wind protection of naked motorcycles.

That’s not to say that this new Shoei helmet is only suitable for riders of naked motorbikes. The Shoei NXR is perfect for the daily commute, a tour and even a track day, since it’s ECE 22/05 and ACU (Auto Cycle Union) approved. The shell is smaller than Shoei’s other motorcycle helmets, which gives it a sleek look, whilst still accommodating sizes from XS to XL.
