Simple Revisions Yield Major Improvements for Yamaha CSM Series Concert Snare Drums
Anaheim (PRWEB) January 18, 2014 -- Yamaha is featuring the CSM Series Concert Snare Drum at the 2014 NAMM Show.
Constant improvements in technology, manufacturing and quality have made Yamaha Percussion products the sought-after choices for professionals and beginners alike. With that in mind, what started as a simple revision has resulted in new, improved versions of the company’s best-selling concert snare drums.
The redesigned 13” and 14” CSM Series (models 1350AII, 1450AII and 1465AII) offer improved sound quality, along with a simple, user-friendliness that makes them great options for the intermediate player or individual at the middle school, high school or college level, and for a wide variety of musical applications. With these upgrades, the CSM Series now has the expression and playability typically found in more expensive models.
Quality begins with construction. A specially designed 8-ply shell allows for more sensitivity and wider dynamic response, while new Q-type strainers have also been designed for smoother operation. Improvements to the 13” CSM-1350AII make it more utility-driven, giving it a lighter response and feel with a noticeably brighter sound.
“Our concert snare drums have always done very well – particularly with educators who trust Yamaha,” said Troy Wollwage, marketing manager, Percussion Instruments, Yamaha Corporation of America. “When we improved our best-selling models, we had no idea what kind of an impact it would have on their sound and overall quality. This simple, unassuming snare drum can now go toe-to-toe in the some of the finest concert halls, but their sound and versatility will maintain their ‘must-have’ status for any band director.”
