The Shakey Tables’ performance will feature songs from their upcoming album, A Shakey Table Situation, scheduled for release this spring.
New York Cares is New York City’s largest volunteer organization. New York Cares runs vital programs for 1,300 nonprofits, public schools, and city agencies to help people in need throughout the five boroughs. Every dollar donated to New York Cares amounts to $6 in service to the community.
"We appreciate having a New York band call attention to the ongoing needs of other New Yorkers," said Gary Bagley, New York Cares Executive Director. "New York Cares is in the midst of a severe shortage of coat donations for our 25th Annual Coat Drive, so we’re hoping events like this one with The Shakey Tables brings some new people forward to help out."
"We are happy to do anything we can to support New York Cares, which does so much great work for our city," said Jaclyn Dima, lead singer and songwriter. "Right now we’re focused on getting as many coats donated as we can, and try to have a little fun while we do it."
Dima added, "As always, a special thank you to Arlene’s Grocery for contributing their share to the cause and for providing such a welcoming venue for our cause."
