Fellows and Associates gain support for independent salary survey
(PRWEB) January 24, 2014 -- Fellows and Associates are gaining wide support for their 3rd annual independent salary survey. Currently in the data collection phase, all patent and / or trademark attorneys are encouraged to take part. “The greater the pool of participants the more representative the data, and as a consequence, the more reliable the results” asserts Michele Fellows, Director at Fellows and Associates.
Although the previous two reports were well received and published in full in the CIPA Journal in 2013 and 2012 as well as getting exposure through the ITMA Review, this year they have gained a sponsor in the form of The Patent Lawyer Magazine which is expected to aide in pushing the contributor numbers up. Chris Dooley, Publisher of the magazine says “we felt the survey had a lot to offer and is closely aligned with our aspirations so we welcomed the opportunity to work with Fellows and Associates”.
This year the company is also offering entry into a draw for a £100 Amazon gift card (or equivalent in alternative currency) to make the 5 minute sacrifice of time to complete the survey potentially more rewarding.
The survey, focused solely on the intellectual property sector, allows a very niche group to gain a greater insight into how they are performing amongst their peers, something that is not otherwise readily available. “It is also the only survey we are aware of that looks at the sector from the viewpoint of the employee rather than that of the employer. Which, given we operate in a predominantly candidate driven market, provides a great indicator on how the industry is likely to perform in coming months” says Pete Fellows, Managing Director at Fellows and Associates.
Another departure from the norm is that the results, when published, steer clear of offering an opinion. Fellows and Associates strive for the survey to be unbiased, and as such, report the data collected and remark on changes or highlight points of interest only but leave the reader to draw their own conclusions. It is anticipated that the latest survey will be published towards the end of the first quarter of 2014 and will be available to download for free. Hard copies will be available on request.
