New York Car Accident Lawyer Adnan Munawar, of Munawar & Andrews-Santillo, speaks about a Brooklyn car accident that left a car wash employee dead.

A Brooklyn car wash employee was killed in a deadly crash last Sunday, CBS News reported. (Police: Man Killed in Accident At Brooklyn Car Wash, January 12, 2013). According to reports, the employee was removing a Lincoln Navigator from the lot of the car wash when it was stuck by a Nissan Altima on Atlantic Avenue. The man was ejected from the vehicle and apparently was struck by it, said police. Authorities did not release any names, but described the deceased as a Hispanic male in his 30’s.

According to the article, the owner of the Navigator told reporters that he heard a loud bang and then witnessed the accident unfold. He saw the deceased lying in the street while his SUV continued down Atlantic Avenue by itself until it crashed into a fire hydrant. The driver of the Nissan and a passenger were taken to the hospital with reports of pain, but not with any serious reported injuries. Authorities are still investigating what exactly caused the deadly accident.

Adnan Munawar, Partner at Munawar & Andrews-Santillo LLP, issued a statement today on the accident that claimed the death of the worker. “It is an absolute tragedy that a young man’s life was ended in such a manner and our thoughts are with his family, wherever they may be. Sadly, accidents like these happen frequently, and while we do not know exactly how this crash happened, hopefully it will at least remind drivers of how dangerous cars can be and consider driving in a more conscious manner. So many avoidable accidents happen every day and unfortunately, they can be fatal.”

“It is our sincere hope for everyone that they do not suffer the trauma and potential damage caused by being in a car accident, but if you or a loved one is in an accident, you should know what your rights are and what steps you can take to be compensated for your injuries and losses. Navigating the claims process can be complicated and overwhelming, and having an experienced attorney by your side will give you the best chance of receiving the maximum compensation possible. Consulting with a personal injury attorney is free and you only ever pay a fee if you win, so there is no financial risk in hiring an expert as your advocate.”
