Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) January 21, 2014
U. S. Preventive Medicine (http://www.USPM.com) announced today the County of Peoria, Illinois, has contracted USPM to provide The Preventive Plan™ Population Health Management Program for County employees. The announcement was made by USPM CEO Robert Tazioli. USPM is an accredited global health management firm engaging consumers in recognizing and improving their health status.
The Prevention Plan employs a three-tiered approach to preventive medicine. The primary tier is wellness education and awareness. The secondary tier is screening for early detection and diagnosis. The tertiary tier is early evidence-based treatment to reduce complications and disability.
“Employee engagement is the key to success in driving better health results for our customers,” explained Mr. Tazioli. “The secondary success factor is awareness of your health status – specifically, your numbers. What we have seen is when employees know their numbers they are more likely to engage and participate. The Prevention Plan and The Prevention Score bring those numbers to light, explain what the numbers mean in terms of risk factors, let employees know how to decrease their risks, and ultimately provide a roadmap to achieve and maintain a healthy status. Our easy-to-use web-based health management platform and smart phone application go where the employee goes."
