The Genesis family of companies (Genesis) has appointed veteran real estate professional, Don Maxwell as a Principal and member of their Executive Team. Maxwell brings with him decades of experience in the Single Family Housing Market, community and economic development, and mortgage and real estate practices, such as risk management, REO (real estate owned) property sales, loan origination, automated underwriting, closing and servicing.
In his new executive role at Genesis, Maxwell is responsible for increasing the Company’s footprint within Corporate Diversity sectors, business development platform-wide for all of the Genesis family of companies, Strategic Planning, and improving execution tactics and programs within the Sales, Operations, and Marketing arenas. He will also be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies to include Profit and Loss management that significantly impacts ROI. Maxwell will also bring to bear his substantial experience and success in developing and maintaining long-term strategic business relationships with national and regional groups, mortgage and real estate professionals, asset management and property preservation companies, hedge funds, institutional investors, servicers, and other centers of influence. “As we strategically expand our business lines and move in other directions as a company, appointing Don to our Executive Team was the natural progression. Prior to joining Genesis, Maxwell held executive leadership positions at 24 Asset Management, Executive Asset Management and Asset Serve Management, where he led efforts to increase the minority lending practices of several mortgage companies by building start up multi-cultural lending divisions, introducing sales and operational disciplines throughout the organizations, and developing strategic plans for partnerships with various entities across the country.
Most notably, he worked for the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) for over 12 years in a number of positions. As Director of Marketing, and Single Family Mortgage Business, Don was responsible for developing and leading the company's sales and marketing efforts with the underserved lenders. His efforts included attending and sponsoring ten national and regional conferences with local and national trade groups. He also increased business opportunities for trusted advisors and lenders by delivering an estimated of $4.5 billion in loan production, comprised of 27,000 loans.
