SeeControl, Inc.™ today announced it has partnered with All-Terrain Communications (ATC), a service provider of custom M2M tank level and pump monitoring solutions targeting Oil & Gas, Public Utilities, Agriculture, and Food & Beverage industries. SeeControl has enabled ATC to rapidly expand business by targeting new M2M and IoT markets to provide valuable, real-time information collected from remote products and assets. This empowers users to make better-informed decisions to avoid costly downtime and reduce operating costs.
ATC realized there was a fast-growing market to monitor tanks across various industries along with add on sensor data but could not find an affordable software application to manage everything in one place. Increasing demand for remote tank monitoring and optimization also meant handling a variety of tank types, and integrating with a wide range of hardware and backend applications. This created a challenge for finding universal, open monitoring solution that matched the unique needs of each company. “The SeeControl platform enables All Terrain Communications customers to leverage highly customized applications to clearly display various types of M2M data. We could not be more pleased with the intuitive, flexible layout affording us the ability to effectively display remote tank data as well as expand into future M2M markets,” says ATC’s Dan Nicholson, CTO.
Other “shrink-wrapped” tank monitoring solutions failed to meet ATC’s needs as they could not be adapted to differing tank owner scenarios. ATC sought a technology partner to help provide flexibility to their end users without adding to the complexity or the cost. “Our communications and M2M solutions are custom and unique to each individual customer and environment. We knew that we needed a cloud software platform able to offer on-the-fly customization. Furthermore, we required a flexible yet simple toolset that could communicate with various equipment manufacturers and display tailored information across multiple industries,” according to Dan.
ATC’s top criteria included robust tank monitoring capability, usability with a wide variety of hardware and sensors, advanced analytics, and the ability to extend beyond tank monitoring and seamlessly include other types of assets within the same application.
When ATC found SeeControl, they were more than impressed by the technology and surprised by the affordable cost given the customization involved. Since the application is hardware agnostic, ATC customers could continue to use existing hardware. And using SeeControl also meant scalability was no longer an issue. Any number and type of tank could be added to the monitoring network at any point in time as well as additionalsensors to track new parameters. The SeeControl Nexus cloud application provided a device-agnostic user interface converting data collected into actionable information using graphs charts, reports and notifications.
SeeControl enables ATC to:
- Accelerate setup times: ATC can design and implement innovative new solutions for a client in less than a week
- Build stronger relationships with the flexibility to custom tailor to any kind of client requirements
- Enter newer markets and verticals
- Lower the TCO of tanks significantly
- Provide ease of use: Automated alerting and notifications using redundant communication channels (Satellite, Cellular)
- Offer an optimized solution for different industry verticals at a significantly lower cost than competitors
SeeControl arms Product Makers and Service Providers with one of a kind Machine-to-Machine (M2M) cloud apps for the Industrial Internet age. The Nexus platform organizes and makes sense of data from the Internet of Things (IoT) with no coding skills required. Scores of customers ranging from ABB, HP and Fujitsu to next generation IoT innovators entrust SeeControl with new services for hundreds of thousands of things around the world.
