TomTom Multisport GPS is the best GPS watch for under $250 according to the Heart Rate Watch Company.

"We tested TomTom GPS watches all of last year and it is a really great product, our chief tester John Yarington loved it and gave it to his mother and she loves it to," says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "The vibration alerts, the distance and heart rate accuracy and the price point make it one of the better products in the market for those that don't have over $400 for a Garmin or Suunto."

Triathlon Ready

"While the battery life won't complete a full Ironman it is fine for a half Ironman or Olympic distance," says Squire. He adds, "It offers the swim, bike and run features with data present that most of the Garmin and Suunto's have."

Thin and Light

"One of the best features of the TomTom Multisport is just how thin and light it is," says Squire. He adds, "At 1.9 ounces and half the thickness of the Garmin 910XT or Suunto Ambit 2 it is light enough and thin enough for women to wear, which is a real plus."

Most Underrated

"After testing it, using it ourselves and seeing how it sold in the first 9 months we were surprised that we didn't sell several times as many of these units," says Squire. He adds, "I personally think that TomTom is the most underrated GPS watch on the market today."

Satisfaction

"For those that have purchased either the TomTom Multisport GPS and TomTom Runner GPS they have been a very satisfied group," says Squire. He adds, "It is probably the easiest GPS watch in the world to use and set up with its single joystick button."

"I remember when I tried it just how impressed I was with how easy it was and how much I like the vibration alerts," says Squire. He adds, "It's also got a bit of a hipster design that is not run of the mill for sports watches."
