Today’s virtualized datacenter needs shared storage with mission-critical SAN reliability, yet at a cost similar to a direct-attached storage (DAS). Intel RAID High Availability is specifically designed to achieve this when implemented as a fully redundant, high-availability storage appliance.

As a simple software upgrade to existing RAID controllers, Intel RAID High Availability combines two storage RAID controllers with two servers to provide a redundant, simplified server failover cluster. It reduces latency by half and reduces the cost of building high availability server clusters by 60 percent while increasing performance by 25 percent .
