Southwest Franchise Lending Spotlight Conference in Houston Connecting Growing Franchise Brands with Lenders
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 21, 2014 -- BoeFly, the premier online marketplace connecting small business borrowers with lenders and a strategic ally of the International Franchise Association (IFA) today announced that its 2014 Texas Franchise Lending Spotlight Conference will take place on February 5 at the Westin Galleria in Houston, TX.
A recent survey of lenders across the country found that 97.6 percent of respondents think it is important for franchise brands to provide information to help banks evaluate financing requests from franchisees, which could in turn positively impact credit access for franchise business owners.
“Lenders who are well informed about a franchise brand are more likely to fund its franchisees, and we've developed this event in response to requests from franchise brands that are expanding in the Southwest and want to substantively educate bankers,” said Mike Rozman, co-president of BoeFly, the company producing the conference. “This is the fourth Franchise Lending Spotlight Conference to date and we look forward to continuing to bring this event to other markets across the country.”
The franchise brands presenting to lenders at the conference will include Bojangles’, Burger 21, Captain D’s, Del Taco, Firehouse Subs, Hurricane Grill and Wings, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Martinizing Dry Cleaning, McAlister’s Deli, Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza, and Planet Fitness.
"Papa Murphy’s is pleased to have the opportunity to present our brand at the Franchise Lending Spotlight Conference, and we know from past Spotlight sessions that it is a great way for us to meet lenders interested in financing our franchisees,” said Kevin King, Chief Development Officer at Papa Murphy’s. “BoeFly’s Franchise Lending Spotlight Conference is the most powerful event on the calendar for brands seeking serious connections with lenders.”
Following the presentations, each attending banker will receive secure online access to additional information about each brand directly within BoeFly’s online platform, which more than 125 franchisors have signed up with to help their franchisees connect with over 3,600 lenders to more efficiently secure financing.
"Community Reinvestment Fund, USA, a national non-profit SBA lender, is constantly searching for opportunities to meet the financing needs of qualified small business borrowers, and this conference provides an efficient way for us to connect with and learn about many brands in a single event," said Brian Burke, National SBA Lending Director of Community Reinvestment Fund, USA.
In addition to the presentations by franchise brands to lenders, the conference will feature various speakers who will share their perspectives on franchise financing, including Manuel Gonzales, SBA District Director; Mary Jo Larson, publisher of Franchise Times; Bob Coleman, publisher of The Coleman Report; and Mike McGeehan, Client Partner of FICO.
“The National Association of Development Companies – NADCO - the trade association for SBA Lenders – has supported BoeFly’s Franchise Lending Spotlight Conference since its inception because we know there is great value in bringing together franchisors and lenders for the purpose of advancing the growth of our economy through increased access to the capital that so many small businesses today require,” said Beth Solomon, CEO of NADCO. “The Conference also offers CDCs and their banking colleagues a unique marketing opportunity and benefit.”
"The IFA is pleased to join our strategic ally BoeFly in this important event because we recognize that when franchisees have access to capital, they are able to grow, and jobs are created as a result," said Steve Caldeira, president and CEO of IFA.
Of special interest in this region is the fact that the U.S. military discharges approximately 160,000 active duty service members and 110,000 reservists annually. IFA through its VetFran Program helps veterans become part of the franchise industry.
The Southwest Franchise Lending Spotlight Conference will take place on Wednesday, February 5, 2013 from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Westin Galleria Houston, located at 5060 W Alabama St, Houston, TX 77056. Space is limited so register early. To register or for more information, please visit: http://franchiselendingconference.com/tx2014/
