Mount Sinai and Affiliated Physicians Announce Clinical Alliance
New York City, NY (PRWEB) January 21, 2014 -- Mount Sinai and Affiliated Physicians Announce Clinical Alliance
Today, the Mount Sinai Health System and Affiliated Physicians, one of the nation’s top providers of corporate preventive healthcare services, announced a formal agreement between the two organizations, known as a “clinical alliance,” that will allow both entities to leverage the individual strengths of each organization, resulting in the highest levels of quality patient care. Each organization will remain completely independent of one another.
“This relationship allows us to collaborate with a high quality network of physicians who share our vision of providing excellent care to patients,” said Dr. Arthur Klein, President of the Mount Sinai Health Network. “In Affiliated Physicians’ capacity as an important resource for corporate and executive health, they will be a partner in promoting continuity of care, managing diseases, and improving clinical outcomes.”
For more than 30 years, Affiliated Physicians has provided employee health services to corporate clients, including comprehensive physical exams, flu vaccinations, on-site wellness screening programs, pre-placement exams, drug screenings and travel immunizations.
“The primary mission of this alliance is to provide the best possible care to our patients,” said Dr. Martin Cukier, CEO of Affiliated Physicians. “Our relationship with Mount Sinai guarantees that patients who need additional specialized care receive that care from world-class physicians, who are among the foremost experts in their fields.”
The clinical alliance between Mount Sinai and Affiliated Physicians will allow the latter organization to enhance their role as patient care navigators, offering secure access to a network of highly talented and experienced specialists for their corporate clients should the need arise. The partnership will also enhance provider communications and improve the overall continuum of care. For more information on Affiliated Physicians, please visit http://www.affiliatedphysicians.com.
