CAUCUS Association Launches the Regional Workshop Program
(PRWEB) January 22, 2014 -- Companies are getting burnt on their IT deals, as vendors are finding new ways to manipulate the process. Organizers of CAUCUS find ways for their members to stay ahead of the curve. They are putting forth a new effort to keep members informed about best-in-class processes and tactics, hence the Regional Workshop Program.
There are countless examples of “buyer beware” or “they just will not negotiate with us” surprises that end up costing companies numerous dollars. As CAUCUS’s founder Joe Auer likes to put it, “You can’t love them into a better deal; you’ve got to leverage them into a better deal.” International Computer Negotiations, Inc., (ICN) is the biggest supporter of CAUCUS, and when you pay attention to the process preached by ICN consultants and trainers, you realize they’ve been down this beaten path before.
CAUCUS plans to kick off the Regional Workshop campaign with customized ICN training in San Mateo on March 26-27, 2014. There will be four one-day sessions in all. Topics covered will include better software deal making, understanding contract terms and conditions through the vendor’s eyes, and writing effective statements of work. These will all be very important topics in the coming year.
