St. Petersburg, Florida (PRWEB) January 23, 2014
Mystery/thriller author TJ Waters announced the debut of a new YouTube channel called AGENTS OF INFLUENCE, demonstrating spy tactics honed over his over two decade career in a series of short (< 5 minute) individual video vignettes.
"Everyone has a unique view of what the word espionage means," Waters said. "The fact is there are many intelligence community techniques that the average person could put into everyday practice. That is what the channel is about - incorporating the techniques into the audience's life."
Waters was inspired by author Brad Meltzer's television series Decoded, which ran for two years on The History Channel. While Meltzer featured symbols and codes at various national landmarks, Waters is teaching spy skills viewers can personally use in their daily routine.
Topics range from an intelligence community view of social media typologies to the influence Twitter had on the 2011 Cairo uprising. He demonstrates elicitation methods for collecting information that parents, lawyers, physicians, and sales professions will find invaluable. Waters also shows how the best intelligence analysts in the world work for one particular three-letter organization - the NFL, committing several episodes to support his claim.
The series features many of the themes Waters taught as an Adjunct Professor in the Intelligence Management and Analysis program at Eckerd College. A decade earlier he created the first intelligence-related Continuing Legal Education course (CLE) approved by the Florida bar to teach espionage tactics to lawyers.
