Joseph Emanuele Appointed to AICPA Business Valuation Committee
Laguna Niguel, California (PRWEB) January 23, 2014 -- The Business Valuation Committee serves the membership of the AICPA in helping to identify, create, and maintain high quality educational offerings to provide credential and noncredential holders with timely and leading edge technical guidance. Other objectives of the Committee include providing technical and education guidelines to CPAs in public practice, or to those in the private sector who provide or seek to provide valuation services; working with the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) Credential Committee to manage the ABV Credential Program and raise the visibility of the credential to practitioners and the public through ongoing communication efforts; and monitoring matters that impact the ability of CPAs to provide valuation services.

Mr. Emanuele has over ten years of experience in public accounting with over five years exclusively in providing business valuations and related consulting. He has experience in business and intangible asset valuations for mergers, acquisitions, sales, minority interest transactions, estate and gift tax reporting, financial reporting, stock option issuance and litigation support.
In addition to his recent appointment, Emanuele is the Co-Chair of the AICPA task force writing a practice aid on the topic of Business Valuations for Estate and Gift Tax Purposes, a member of the AICPA's Forensic and Valuation Services Consulting Digest Technical Advisory Board and a member of the AICPA's ABV Examination Question Writing Task Force. He is the past Vice-Chair of the California CPA Society's Business Valuation Section.
Emanuele holds several credentials including the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) credentials, both issued by the AICPA, the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute, and the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) credential from the American Society of Appraisers.
