A new internships survey reveals that employer demand is up in the burgeoning internships market – companies are hiring more interns than ever before, and the data shows a continued growth and maturing of the internships market. Internship seeker demand is also on the rise: 67% of the college class of 2013 completed at least one internship during college – a 6% increase over last year and further growth is expected as students gear up for the 2014 summer internships season.

Conducted on November 26th, 2013 Internships.com surveyed more than 1,800 students & recent graduates as well as over 440 human resources and recruitment professionals on their internship activities and intentions.

Getting a Head Start: Students are interning earlier in their college careers. 48% land their first internship before their junior year.
