Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) January 24, 2014

Muscogee and Okmulgee Oklahoma will be the launching point for a major expansion of the iconic, fast casual Rex’s Chicken brand within the next couple months. Under an agreement signed in early 2013, the Muscogee Nation Business Enterprise plans to open Rex's Chicken locations in its new travel plazas by March, starting with Muscogee and Okmulgee, and then eventually, in more travel plazas throughout Oklahoma as well as a number of its highest grossing casinos.

“The opportunity here with the Muscogee Creek Nation is a dream come true,” says Camille Rutkauskas, Founder and Chief Creative Officer. “I believe Rex’s is not only a concept that offers our customers terrific dining options, but one where the food is really the star. I can’t tell you how excited we are to be experiencing this incredible breakthrough and the opportunity to expand into additional Native American nations.”

The Muscogee Nation Business Enterprise just recently bought the rights to bring the Rex’s Chicken restaurant to its eight county jurisdictional area. Already an iconic Oklahoma brand, Rex’s Chicken is slated to create a major draw for travelers along with gas, gaming and existing products already located at the plazas. Rutkauskas says the lucrative deal represents the tireless work over the last five years of her and her husband, David, and their unwavering faith in the potential of Rex’s Chicken:

“We’re so excited to be experiencing this incredible breakthrough and the opportunity to partner with the skilled leadership of the Muscogee Creek Nation,” said Rutkauskas. “It’s a huge pleasure to work with them and grow Rex’s into something we always knew it could be.”

Founded in 1951, Rex’s rebirth came when David Rutkauskas, Rex’s Chicken CEO, obtained the rights in 2007 and opened a location in Tulsa, OK in 2008. Since then, Rutkauskas has partnered with Curtis Branch who bought the Tulsa location and is the Master Franchisee for Oklahoma.
