Achievements of 2013 Position Scaled Agile, Inc. for Sustained Growth in 2014 and Beyond
Boulder, CO (PRWEB) January 23, 2014 -- Scaled Agile, Inc. (SAI), a global product, training, certification and professional services firm that helps companies scale adoption of Lean|Agile software development throughout the enterprise, today announced that several achievements from 2013 have positioned the company for sustained growth in 2014 and beyond.
Among the most notable 2013 successes was a 300 percent increase in both revenue and headcount over the corresponding figures from a year earlier. This significant growth fueled the company’s move in September to a new corporate headquarters facility in Boulder, Colorado. The new corporate office includes an onsite training center capable of hosting nearly 100 training-class participants at any one time.
Another of the year’s important achievements was the rapid growth of SAI’s global partner network, which now totals more than 30 corporate partners. Scaled Agile Partners are companies – including IBM, Agile8 (United Kingdom), Zuehlke (Austria) and OGIS-RI (Japan) -- that believe in agility at scale and the power of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe™) to successfully transform software organizations to achieve better outcomes. These partners have developed significant expertise in delivering SAI products and services, and support companies and government agencies around the world in adopting SAFe as their standard software development methodology.
“Last year was extremely gratifying on many levels and I believe we are now positioned for accelerated growth in 2014 and well into the future,” Scaled Agile CEO Drew Jemilo said, “We were able to attract many talented individuals and corporate partners to our fast-growing team. This growth in people and our dramatic increase in revenue necessitated the move to our new headquarters and training center. Perhaps most rewarding, however, is the widespread adoption by software developers around world of the Scaled Agile Framework as their preferred methodology for software development.”
Created by SAI Chief Methodologist Dean Leffingwell, the Scaled Agile Framework is an illustrative roadmap that directs managers and software developers along the path to becoming a Lean|Agile enterprise. By adopting the Framework, SAI’s customers can more quickly deliver higher quality and fully tested software – either for external markets or internal operations.
SAFe’s primary interface is the “Big Picture” graphic, which highlights the individual roles, activities, work products, and practices necessary to scale Agile from a team to the enterprise. SAFe has been successfully applied by software development organizations of all sizes, from those with fewer than 50 developers to enterprises employing thousands of knowledge workers.
