Windward announced today that HP will donate its best-selling notebooks to the winners of the 2014 Windward International Collegiate Programming Championship. Every member of the top team will receive the ultimate programmer's notebook, the HP ENVY dv6t-7200 Quad Edition, from the world’s largest technology company.

Windward created and manages the championship, also known as the Windward Code Wars contest. The donation marks the second year in a row that HP has sponsored this unique international hackathon, which tests the programming knowledge, innovative thinking and teamwork of computer science college students.

Teams that have already announced their eligibility for the HP laptops by registering for the 2014 contest include The College of William and Mary, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State University, Columbia University, Faculty of Engineering – Alexandria University (Egypt), Hartnell College, Harvey Mudd College, Princeton University, Purdue University – West Lafayette, St.Petersburg Polytechnical University, Universidad de las Ciencias Informaticas (Cuba), University of Alberta, University of Central Florida, University of Colorado – Boulder, University of Maryland College Park, University of Toronto, University of Utah, and University of Victoria.
