President of Houston Moving Company Uses Experience with Nonprofits in Houston Business Journal

The President of 3 Men Movers, Lorie Clements was featured on the cover and in an article published in the January 2014 edition of the Houston Business Journal. The article delivered tips to Houston business professionals on the best practices for nonprofits and pulled from Lorie Clements’ personal experience with these organizations during her work as an adjunct professor at Rice University.

Lorie Clements, president of 3 Men Movers, a local woman owned and operated Houston moving company was featured in the January edition of the Houston Business Journal. The article was focused on how to apply business principles to nonprofits.

Lorie Clements is a Jones Graduate School alumni and one of the Houston Business Journal’s honored 40 under 40 in 2013. Lorie’s experience as an adjunct professor at Rice made her the perfect candidate to be featured in the HBJ article, “Apply Business Principles to Nonprofits”. The class Lorie led was a capstone course in Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business’s executive and professional MBA programs. For the course, teams of Rice MBA students with 7 to 14 years of business experience consult with various Houston philanthropies on unique challenges to deliver business advice, direction and valuable consulting to local nonprofits in Houston. Also featured in the article is fellow Adjunct Professor David Van Horn, creator of the capstone class.

As President of 3 Men Movers, Lorie combines her experience in business and nonprofit arenas to grow the company in new and innovative ways.
