The Florida Writers Association Presents The Lady Lake Memoir Mini-Conference
The Villages, FL (PRWEB) January 23, 2014 -- The Florida Writers Association will present The Lady Lake Memoir Mini-Conference with special guest speakers Patricia Charpentier and Cheyenne Knopf at the Hampton Inn and Suites – The Villages on Saturday, February 22, 2014. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and workshops run from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. In this unique conference not to be missed by autobiographers and authors, Charpentier and Knopf will speak on everything from what it takes to write an engaging memoir to book printing and binding options.
Patricia Charpentier, author of the multi-award winning book, Eating an Elephant: Write Your Life One Bite at a Time, teaches, writes, edits, ghostwrites and publishes personal and family history. She is a popular speaker and offers workshops and ongoing courses, including the Bring Your Ancestors to Life Program that utilizes audio/video modules, one-on-one coaching, group Q&A calls, and more to help writers succeed in writing their family history. Patricia has edited and published more than thirty family histories and also serves as artist in residence at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Orlando.
Cheyenne Knopf has a lifetime of knowledge in printing and binding. Her family’s book bindery, Knopf & Sons Bindery, turns 50 in 2014.
The Lady Lake Memoir Mini-Conference registration fee is $69 for Florida Writers Association members and $89 for non-members. Continental breakfast, snacks and lunch are included in registration fee. The Hampton Inn and Suites – The Villages is located at 11727 North Carolina 63rd Drive off CR466 in The Villages, FL.
