The Grommet met Elizabeth Morrow, founder of Yoga by Numbers, in June of 2013 when she had only a prototype mat and a passion for making yoga accessible to beginners at home. Since then, The Grommet has acted as a consultant in areas of product launch such as merchandising and marketing, all with the goal of bringing her product to market on The Grommet’s website. The rubber mat is made in the U.S.A. and features numbered targets for hands and feet, guiding the practitioner along the way into poses. The instructional dvd, “10 Sessions to Yoga,” teaches three poses per session and can be completed at any pace.

The founder, Elizabeth Morrow, is a former human rights policy researcher who encountered a serious health crisis in the winter of 2012. As part of her recovery, she began to practice yoga as it was a safe, low impact option for rehabilitation. The experience became a blessing in disguise as she realized a need existed for a home-based yoga system for beginners that was practical and accessible. She wanted to create an answer to this problem, while at the same time building a platform to expand equitable access to healthy activities.
