Los Angeles Immigration Attorneys Helps Those in Need with Low-Cost DACA Filings
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- Los Angeles Immigration Attorneys has announced discounted consultation services for individuals wishing to apply for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
On June 15, 2012, President Obama signed a memo calling for deferred action for certain undocumented young people who came to the U.S. as children and have pursued education or military service here. Applications under the program began on August 15, 2012. DACA gives young undocumented individuals (generally under 31 years in age) the opportunity to obtain a driver’s license, social security card, work permit, and the peace of knowing that dreams can be pursued without having to immediately become a full citizen of the United States. NPR reports that an estimated half a million potential deferred action recipients have not yet filed applications. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services recommends that individuals seeking this status consult with a qualified attorney before proceeding.
Los Angeles Immigration Attorneys seeks to assist young adults affected by this decision, who have limited means to pay attorney fees. Clients will still be responsible for the employment authorization document application fee and biometrics fee required by the government. According to Eric Price, founder of Los Angeles Immigration Attorneys, “There is currently no appeals process for denial of DACA applications. It is important to our firm that each individual who wishes to apply receives legal representation to guide them through their application.”
Individuals who are qualified for DACA are encouraged to contact Los Angeles Immigration Attorneys at 213-995-6655 regarding this program.
