Brandon Wagner, the Creative Director & President of Tribeca, crafted the 2014 compensation package with the use of an employee benefit survey, which he emailed to all of his current staff. Wagner says, “The responses were fairly even, but the 2 major benefits that people wanted was more time off and an investment plan.” With this in mind, Brandon geared the compensation plan to provide both benefits as well as a wellness program to keep the staff healthy.

The wellness program includes a gym membership paid for by the company, as long as gym sessions are attended at least 14 days that month. There is a complementary fitness evaluation with the Tampa-based personal trainers at Driven Fitness, to get a better overall picture of your health. Vitamins will be provided in the break room and wellness experts will be speaking at the monthly staff meetings. Additionally, this health initiative promotes improved staff performance by providing the top producers a complementary massage per month.

In addition to these healthy lifestyle perks, the company is also providing the following benefits:

  • Health insurance that cover 50% of premiums
  • 100% paid term life insurance policy
  • SIRP Investment plan with Tribeca matching up to 5% of annual income
  • A gift on your birthday
  • Up to 10 paid vacation days
  • 23 unpaid personal days, allowing a senior stylist to work only 11 out of 12 months
  • Flex scheduling: all stylists are allowed 2 different weekly schedules so they can alternate working weekends.

In an industry where benefits are rarely or minimally provided to stylists, this benefits package will set Tribeca ColorSalons apart from many other Tampa hair salons, and make it a better place to work. It is also liable to attract more high-caliber talent.
