The new service from Malaysia Airlines will operate between Kuala Lumpur and Krabi, and the scheduled flights will run on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday every week. The introduction of a new service from Malaysia Airlines is also yet another exciting development for Krabi Airport, which has become a tremendous asset to the tourism industry in Southern Thailand. In 2013, the Civil Aviation Department extended the operating times at Krabi Airport to 24 hours, with a view to easing the congestion at Phuket Airport. Krabi Airport has also welcomed a number of new domestic and international services from other airlines over the past three months, including Nok Air and Air Asia.
