Reed Construction Data And Alberta COOLNET Group Create Alberta's Largest Construction Procurement Network
Norcross, Ga. (PRWEB) January 28, 2014 -- Reed Construction Data and local construction associations in Alberta (COOLNet Alberta) have joined forces to better connect the demand and supply sides of Alberta’s $62 billion non-residential construction industry. Combining Reed’s trusted project information with COOLNet’s premium bid communications and e-procurement tools, the new partnership significantly expands opportunities for construction buyers, consultants and suppliers, as well as members and customers.
"The benefits of this alliance to the industry and to our members are clear... this was revealed during our evaluation process," stated John McNicoll, Executive Director of the Edmonton Construction Association. "We also spoke with Reed’s partners outside Alberta, who gave us a lot of confidence in moving forward."
"Alberta is one of the hottest non-residential construction markets in North America and, for that matter, the world, and we expect this sustained growth to continue," added Mark Casaletto, General Manager and Vice President, Reed Construction Data Canada. "COOLNet has been deeply embedded in construction in Alberta for over 80 years; Reed is thrilled to be partnering with Alberta’s strongest construction network."
The Alberta alliance coordinates resources and partner strengths to improve the flow of information to and from key suppliers of construction.
"COOLNet Alberta’s processes and tools make bid notification and communication more efficient," stated Craig Roberts, Senior Director, Reed Construction Data. "Working collaboratively with Reed, the partners now avoid duplication of effort. Association members get unparalleled access to bid opportunities, and we can build a wider network."
"Each partner brings valuable resources to this alliance," stated Dave Smith, President, Calgary Construction Association. "Together we have all of Alberta covered and with Reed onboard our reach widens. Construction procurement just got easier in Alberta."
The partners have ratified a legal agreement and are currently implementing its functional aspects.
