Wounded Warrior Fishing Event - Washington DC - April 25, 2014
alexandria, va (PRWEB) January 26, 2014 -- Fishingcommunity.org is organizing a wounded warrior fishing event on Friday April 25, 2014 at Fletcher’s Boathouse in Washington, DC. The event is a 100% volunteer driven effort. http://www.fishingcommunity.org is soliciting sponsorships, donations, volunteers and participants for this daylong event.
“Every year, millions of shad migrate up the Potomac River in April,” said Paul Ketrick, founder of Fishing Community “Our organization is creating an opportunity for wounded warriors and their families to meet and fish with invited participants at this historic location.”
KJ Stevens, Program Coordinator at the Fort Belvoir USO: “Fishingcommunity.org has done a variety of classes and fishing events at the USO Warrior and Family Center - Fort Belvoir. They have welcomed Wounded, Ill, and Injured, Active Duty, and their families twice a month to learn the fun and fundamentals of fishing through a relaxed and interactive program led by extremely skilled veterans and supporters. The families and service members alike have really appreciated the time and dedication Fishingcommunity.org has given to supporting our military community here, especially the wounded heroes. We are excited to continue our partnership and support their upcoming Fletcher’s Boathouse Shad Fishing Event!”
