Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 24, 2014

Big Nerd Ranch has announced that it is now offering its popular Cocoa I Bootcamp, taught by Adam Preble, author of the company’s Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X guide. The five-day course will be held at the Atlanta-area Ranch Feb. 3-7.

The Big Nerd Ranch Cocoa I Bootcamp is ideal for programmers who want to learn to develop applications for Mac OS X. No experience with programming for Macs is needed, but students should understand an object-oriented language such as Java or C++.

The class, which uses Mac OS X Mavericks and Xcode 5, will teach students to:

Write complex applications for Mac OS X.
Demonstrate fluency in Objective-C.
Master Interface Builder and Xcode.
Find and understand the online documentation.
Demonstrate experience with the most common classes in the frameworks.
Understand the design patterns used in Cocoa.
Recognize several common idioms of the Cocoa community.
