Puritan Financial Completes Year with the Kind of Service that Continues all Year
Addison, TX (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- Puritan Financial Companies, Inc. is an organization that wants to give back to the community throughout the year. One of the ways in which they do this is with H.I.S., Bridge Builders, a Christian based organization dedicated to helping rebuild urban communities.
Puritan’s service includes volunteering with H.I.S. shortly before Christmas each year. Company CEO, Matt McIntyre says, “Puritan rents a bus and many of our Dallas staff along their families volunteer to go and serve at Turner Courts Recreation Center. We sort clothes and wrap presents in preparation for H.I.S. Bridge Builders' Annual Christmas Community Event.”
H.I.S. Director of Community Development, Regina Suttle says, “It’s a huge blessing for Puritan to come over and help us get ready for this event. They show up with a smile on their face. It’s amazing to work with their team.“
Puritan volunteers also help set up for dinner that’s going to be served, and even help finance a clothing tent where clothes are handed out.
Most recently, the event served over 850 people on Christmas day. The volunteer work that Puritan does with H.I.S. continues beyond the holidays. Puritan employees also help mentor Bridge Builders adult students with life skills, so that the students can become productive members of society and regain their families, dignity and self worth.
McIntyre says, “Our team is truly blessed to volunteer with such a great organization as Bridge Builders.”
