eduClipper, the social learning platform for teachers and students to curate, create and share educational content, is now available for free on the iPad through Apple’s App Store. The app allows users to build personalized learning portfolios that showcase both personal achievement and academic growth. Teachers can create and administer project-based assessments and provide students with dynamic feedback on their work.
“We want students to look forward to creating, sharing and showcasing their hard work,” said Adam Bellow, former classroom teacher and founder of eduClipper. “Learning is a process that involves sharing knowledge, receiving feedback and reflecting. That is what we are building with eduClipper.”
eduClipper has been adopted by more than 200,000 users since its launch as a website in May 2012. As of September 2013, more than 4,500 classrooms have embraced eduClipper as an integral part of the learning environment. With the new iPad app, teachers create classes for students and differentiate instruction with projects that meet students’ needs. Students are then assessed with dynamic feedback in the form of audio, video, text, badges, or traditional grades. Students can collaborate to find and share resources in and out of their class groups in addition to creating and sharing their own work with the learning community in ‘Presentation Portfolios.’
“Students and teachers are able to grab a hold of this app and share the things that matter to them,” said Bellow. “Students can digitally capture their work and get feedback from educators, and many teachers are quickly making this part of their classroom’s digital diet.”
eduClipper is available today on the Apple’s App Store for free, and is available on the web as part of the Edmodo app store and the Google Apps for EDU marketplace.
The brainchild of educator turned “edupreneur” Adam Bellow, eduClipper is a social learning platform that allows educators and students to curate and share educational resources and publish learning portfolios. Visit http://www.eduClipper.net to learn more.
