Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC), Seaside, CA, has announced their decision to utilize VIE Sports Inc’s recently launched, gamified social (giving) platform - VIE Connect™. Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County will employ this unique technology platform to materially enhance their annual celebrity golf event, Golf for Kids, on February 3rd, 2014 at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club. Proceeds from this event benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County and the Davis Love III Family Foundation in helping Monterey Peninsula youth claim a bright future.

Through utilization of VIE’s proprietary VIEAthon™ technology, this year’s Golf for Kids event will be significantly expanded, running from January 23rd through February 9th, and will enable golfers and fundraisers to play at any course in the world and at anytime within the set timeframe. The VIE Connect™ platform and proprietary VIEAthon™ technology has facilitated BGCMC to have a truly global outreach for their regional Golf for Kids fundraising event, and will empower BGCMC to dramatically increase the funds raised for this worthy cause.

"Our desire to enhance the opportunities of those who strive to Do Good in this world, and support a greater cause is what drives our team in business and in life. We are inspired by organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County to create something unique and powerful to help them achieve their fundraising goals," says VIE CEO, Frank Richards. "We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with such great organizations as BGCMC and the Davis Love III Family Foundation in advancing their fundraising initiatives supporting their cause."

The Mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County is to inspire and empower the youth of Monterey County to realize their full potential to become responsible, healthy, productive and successful citizens. Since its inception, Golf for Kids has raised over 3.7 million dollars benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County, with twenty-five percent of the proceeds going to the Davis Love III Family Foundation. To date, thirty-two deserving teens and alumni have received scholarships for continuing education.

"The VIE Connect platform and their VIEAthon™ technology is one of the most innovative fundraising solutions we have come across," said Mary Ruberry, Vice President of Development and Marketing. "All of us here at BGCMC are excited to be utilizing VIE’s gamified social (giving) platform to aid in taking our Golf for Kids event to the next level to make a difference in the lives of young teens in Monterey County."
