LPL continues momentum unlocking value for advisors by delivering tools that help simplify their practices and enable more time with clients

LPL Financial LLC, the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer, an RIA custodian, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of LPL Financial Holdings Inc., announced a milestone today: One million trades have been executed on its Enhanced Trading and Rebalancing (ET&R) platform, less than six months after the platform’s national rollout.

LPL’s new trading platform features high-quality tools that are fully integrated with the rebalancing platform, enabling advisors to seamlessly perform a range of trading and rebalancing activities for any number of securities, client portfolios and accounts. The platform features block trading capabilities that calculate average prices allocations and trailing stop orders to help protect market gains while managing downside risk. This technology offers advisors significant time savings, allowing them to focus on what really matters – their clients.

“Enhanced Trading and Rebalancing saves us many hours and resources every time we make portfolio changes,” said Steve Budin, President of The Budin Group in Las Vegas, NV. “We’ve become more efficient money managers because we spend less time looking at individual securities and individual accounts, and can look globally at our four model portfolios.”

“I spent a few hours a day for a few weeks learning the system, building the models and getting ready to go. It was well worth the time because after the first month, we were able to cut down a process that took weeks to a single day or less,” Budin added.

The ET&R platform is available to all LPL Financial advisors on the company’s Strategic Asset Management (SAM) and Strategic Wealth Management (SWM) fee-based platforms.

“Given the dynamic investment environment, we are so pleased to offer our advisors a tool that allows them to easily navigate market opportunities and pullbacks – whether they are leveraging our recommended portfolios or have built their own. The speed at which this milestone was reached demonstrates the value of this tool to our advisors’ businesses,” said LPL Financial Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer Burt White.

“The fact that we reached one million trades on this platform in just six months is a testament to our advisors,” said LPL Financial Managing Director and Chief Information Officer Victor Fetter. “They are the ones who are out there embracing simplification tools so they can spend more time on addressing the individual needs of their clients. We appreciate the trust our advisors have placed in this platform and anticipate even greater success as more advisors adopt the system and other technology solutions we offer."
