“It’s always good to remember that things are not often what they appear,” cautioned Basichis. “Some of the more charming characters are the ones with serious criminal records. They have polished that charm from conning people. And now here they are trying to con their way onto a show or into a focus group. It is bad news, the kind that makes for embarrassing headlines.”
