Amazon's Future of Drone Shipping Will Change the Online E-commerce World

Capri Camera began under the name of Red Eye Cameras, “which you may see remnants of,” says Nickel. “The name was intended to be original and catchy which it was. Then as things went along I came along other ideas.” The company changed their name when they began the process of getting a trademark for the name, but found out it was already use in different forms by similar websites and businesses. In order to not create a conflict another name was sought out.
Bringing about the change in name to Capri--which is now trademarked in Canada and U.S.A.—has allowed the company to carve out a niche for itself in the online retail market. “As time went on I discovered there was a lot of competition in the camera market,” says Nickel. “Since the beginning of 2012, there have been numerous changes for the company profile and products we sell.” At the moment, the company has 9,000 items listed on Amazon and just recently we have opened up Amazon Canada as Nickel Electronic Shop. The Capri Camera website it undergoing a re-design; however, the company ships regularly through Amazon. With the potential new Amazon shipment method of using Drones to deliver product to homes for light items, this will change the delivery times and increase the amount of online purchases being made daily. “Our online store never closes, are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and items can be arranged for delivery year-round,” says Nickel.
Capri Camera, Inc. has strong drive to succeed and will endeavor to enter into additional marketplaces in the near future. Its associated companies look to expand into emerging markets such as Japan, Europe.
