ACEC Announces Yet Another Program for Senior Level Executive Coaches, Given by One of Its Members—Donna Karlin
(PRWEB) January 28, 2014 -- Donna Karlin, MCEC, CEC, Diplomate IABMCP came to ACEC like a lightening rod in a thunder storm bringing enormous enthusiasm and a keen desire to embrace our ethics, mission, and values — "Rigorous credentialing, mutual support, and lifelong learning to drive business results©." Donna does not disappoint. She has taken on the role of International Ambassador, member of the Board of Advisors, member of the MCEC (Master Corporate Executive Coach) certification vetting committee, and a member of the strategic team for the ACEC’s University of Continuing Executive Coach Education (UCECE). This is in addition to her highly successful subsidiary The School of Shadow Coaching®, her work as a SupporTED Coach and her academic role with various universities.
CB Bowman, CEO of ACEC/UCEC is quoted as saying, "As you can imagine, given Donna’s background including her work coaching various branches within global government departments and agencies, the Shadow Coaching® programs are not for the faint of heart. This is an intense program for senior level coaches. It therefore fits perfectly with ACEC's focus on continuing education for coaches at the top of the ladder. There is excitement that this program expands the association's global footprint through its richness and alignment with their core values."
Most of the programs available for senior level executive coaches generally lack lustre compared to the professional knowledge base of ACEC's members. This association, fully encourages their members to design programs for their peers and offer them through their professional university either on or off campus. All programs must meet a certain rigour to qualify for ACEC endorsement, and MCEC/ ICF credential credits.
They also accept programs from members that were designed previously to their becoming of the association as in Donna’s case, as long as they meet stringent standards.
The goal is for all of the programs offered through the school be the equivalent of postgraduate work. For example, in this program, participants learn to customize and deliver proficiency-based in-real-time observational/ situational coaching to clients; work with their client’s Shadow Personalities; and hone Laser Coaching® proficiencies. Coaches will also learn or sharpen their skills to be able to synthesize information quickly and be able get to the core dynamics of a situation in minutes. They will also help clients become ‘reflective practitioners.’ Coaches who attend must have a minimum of 10 long-term clients and extensive experience.
Donna’s passion for the advancement of executive coaches by designing programs to meet the needs of those coaches wanting more advanced programs to continue their growth is evident. She is quoted as saying that "The coaching profession is changing and clients are becoming more sophisticated in what they want -- and expect ... Increasingly, clients are asking for coaching that ‘deeply’ focuses on their specific situation, need or opportunity. As a result, the coach's success is determined by how well they are equipped to provide a unique and customized methodology that meets the client’s specific requirements."
Her model of coaching bursts the old paradigms of "one size fits all methodology’ and is making a big noise within the profession.
