Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency Joins North Carolina Community Action Association in the 2014 Race 4 Change
Salisbury, NC (PRWEB) January 28, 2014 -- The Race 4 Change is a charitable 5K road race that will help the North Carolina Community Action Association (NCCAA) support the Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency as well as the other 39 agencies in the association network. The Race 4 Change is a community outreach and fundraising event aimed to give voice to the needs and empower North Carolina's 1.6 million vulnerable and low-income citizens. North Carolina's Community Action Agencies provide comprehensive services to enable our state's elderly, disabled, low-income families achieve self-sufficiency and independence from public programs.
To commemorate Community Action's 50 years of change, 50 fundraising teams will be established to help achieve a $500,000 cumulative fundraising goal. Statewide and national partners are invited to serve as co-sponsors of the Race 4 Change. Participants wanting to get involved can; run, walk, fundraise, donate or volunteer. The race will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the NC State University Centennial Campus, Raleigh, NC. Register today at The Race 4 Change.
