Foundry Ventures, Inc. Acquires Foundry Club, LLC, Launches $3 Million Capital Campaign
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- Foundry Ventures, Inc., the entrepreneurial workspace company, has acquired Foundry Club, LLC, which operates The Foundry at Mockingbird Station in Dallas. The company also has launched a $3 million capital campaign to conduct an expanded rollout of its Entrepreneurial Business Clubs (EBCs) to six additional locations in major Texas markets.
Built on a services-focused business club model, Foundry Ventures’ EBCs are designed to replace uninspired, traditional shared workspaces and the outdated tenant/lease model by creating ideal work environments. The Foundry EBCs are located in desirable, multi-use developments and provide comprehensive programming and networking that help members create, connect and grow their businesses. Like The Foundry at Mockingbird Station, the company’s expansion targets high-profile, live-work-play environments in densely populated areas.
“We've spent the past year developing our systems, assets and business plan at our prototype, The Foundry at Mockingbird Station,” said Barry Capece, co-founder and CEO, Foundry Ventures. “Taking the time to establish our foundation and refine the model has been extremely valuable in advance of launching this capital raise. As a result, we are confident and prepared to initiate the expanded rollout, and ready to take some key equity participants along for the ride.”
“The strong response for our Entrepreneurial Business Club prototype is great validation of our unique model and we’re excited to strategically expand to new locations,” said Jim Winblood, co-founder and president of Foundry Ventures. “With over 92 percent occupancy at our prototype location, we believe strongly in what we’re doing and are pleased to officially launch the capital campaign.”
