The Inconvenient Triad or Super Nexus is an emerging economic and environmental reality likely to impact human civilization far sooner than global warming.

Dr. Alan F. Rozich explains in his new book, Other Inconvenient Truths Beyond Global Warming, that although global warming is important as “An Inconvenient Truth,” there are “Other Inconvenient Truths” affecting the functionality of society. These other truths are much more likely to adversely impact human civilization far sooner than global warming.
Global warming is a symptom with CO2 as its poster child. Cognizance of global warming is important as it rightfully earned the categorization, “An Inconvenient Truth.” However, there are a number of “Other Inconvenient Truths” that comprise an “Inconvenient Triad,” or super nexus. The super nexus is an emerging economic and environmental reality requiring both cognitive understanding and action.
What does this all mean? What is the answer? It is that resolving the super nexus needs to be the focus and not CO2. Resource security is pivotal for societal functionality. If left unchecked, one possible consequence is that resource costs will skyrocket, threatening the very fabric of societal functionality. Although the challenges are daunting, viable solutions are within our grasp.
